Headquartered in Howell, Mich., Datapak Services Corporation prides itself on giving back to the community in which it resides. Throughout 2008, the company sponsored several worthwhile causes benefiting Livingston County residents, schools and non-profit organizations. 

 25th Annual Fantasy of Lights Parade – Fantasy 5K Run

On Nov. 28, 2008, the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation held its 25th Annual Fantasy of Lights Parade and Fantasy 5K Run. The Fantasy 5K Run led participants through the parade route with over 25,000 spectators cheering them on. Consistently named one of the “Top 10 Runs in Michigan” by Runner’s Magazine, the Fantasy 5K Run attracts hundreds of runners and benefits local charities. 

Relay For Life® Golf Outing

On May 31, 2008, the Fowlerville Medical Center teamed up with Michigan Rehabilitation for Fowlerville’s third year with Relay For Life®. The two organizations held a golf outing at Webberville’s Oak Lane Golf Course. All the proceeds went to benefit the Relay for Life® and its fight against cancer. Relay For Life® brings together friends, families, businesses, hospitals, schools, churches ... people from all walks of life, all with the goal of eliminating cancer. Participants came together to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones and to raise money for the fight against cancer. 

 

Cleary University’s 16th Annual Auction

On April 26, 2008, Cleary University held its 16th Annual Auction with the theme, “Moonlight in Manhattan.”  Funds raised from this event helped Cleary University in its mission to bring state-of-the-art educational opportunities to its students. Cleary University is dedicated to the betterment of the society through the successes of its alumni and the community partnerships that have been formed. Thanks to past auctions and continued community support, Cleary University has been able to remain on the cutting edge of education, providing the latest in technology and advancements for its students
